The Real Point Story

Real Point was founded in 1995 by company Director Ian O’Donnell to work alongside a small print firm that specialised in personalised wedding and special event stationery.

The company quickly became involved in bigger design projects such as brochures and corporate identities as the company’s design skills and commitment to customer satisfaction were recognised.

Throughout the late 1990s the rapid rise of the internet as a means for distributing information meant that companies were looking for online solutions as well as traditional print media solutions. To meet this demand the Real Point developed the necessary design skills to translate their print designs to on-line creations, enabling them to offer a complete communication solution.

In 2001 the company took the step of registering as a Limited company, becoming known as Real Point Design Ltd. This decision was taken to reflect the company’s desire to expand and forge ahead in the market place.

April 2003 saw the expanding company moving out of the converted loft and into more professional surroundings by the NEC, Birmingham International Airport and Birmingham International Rail Station. The move also coincided with two major contracts being awarded to the company from national children’s charity KIDS and from postal service providers the Royal Mail Group.

The company currently operates with clients on a regional, national and even international scale with contracts in markets ranging from charities, healthcare providers, software manufacturers, business consultants, financial institutions and the public sector. Although the company may have grown, its range of services expanded and the variety of its clients increased, the ethos underlying the whole company still remains the same – “creative ideas to create you business”.
