The Birmingham Best Business awards for the development of work life balance are organised by Mariann Harris, Birmingham Early Years. The awards are “a platform to recognise and celebrate businesses that have boosted their performance and created competitive advantage through the implementation of innovative approaches to improving Work-Life Balance and flexible working which enhances both customer and employee outcomes”.
We heard from Sue Beardsmore, who shared her personal story of some of her challenges in work life balance while working in the media industry, as well as Councillor Rudge, Birmingham cabinet member for equalities and human resources.
Well, we’d made it to the finalist list but the top spot was not to be this year, that was won by the studio, but we did get a commended for ongoing commitment to work life balance. So I can rest happy in knowing that Real Point is still recognised as a great place to work!
